What a driveway job includes

• Tear-out and haul-away. The old driveway, apron or slab gets broken out, loaded and hauled off.

Flatwork we pour

Flatwork is any slab that sits on the ground. For S & M that covers driveways, sidewalks, garages and garage floors, porches, patios, sport courts, parking lots, streets and pea gravel. Finishes for driveways and walks

Most driveways and sidewalks get a broom finish: brushed while the concrete is still soft so it grips in rain and snow. Garage floors usually get a hard trowel finish, smooth and easy to sweep. Exposed aggregate shows the stone in the mix for a textured look that still has good footing.

How the job goes

You call or send the form. Shawn McNamara, the owner, comes out, looks at the old concrete, the grade and where the water goes, and talks it through with you. You get the estimate for free. On the day, the crew tears out, forms, pours and finishes. Shawn tells you when you can walk on it and when you can park on it, based on your pour and the weather that week.
